Here is baby Pavey at week 17. Just one, though we have a whole roll of photos!

Little Pavey was moving the whole time, so cute!
Here are a few recent ones…

Its our anniversary, three years today!!
Off to go celebrate
3 years ago today!

It’s already week 18! Though we are still on vacation and have little computer access I wanted to be sure to give a small week 18 update.
(from baby center)

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He’s busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you’ll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they’re still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he’s born. If you’re having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you’re having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
Personal Updates:
Cravings/Food: I’m starting to really get hungary now, which is a good thing i guess. Some of my new favorite treats, bagels with cream cheese, well done poached eggs, trader joes creamy yogurt, and of course anything with LOTS of cheese!
Bump: So far its starting to be more noticeable, though people are still questioning if I am actually pregnant, hahah I really am! People are telling me when I ‘pop’ it will be much more obvious.. Anything with a waist line (pants, shorts and skirts) are too snug to be comfy, I have been living in my leggins and my new maternity shorts..
Nursery Update: Photos to come soon, since we know the gender we will be able to decorate fully and have everything put together.. We even got a tiny going home outfit while we were here in Cannon Beach.. Everything is so tiny and cute its hard to not buy a lot of clothes!
Excited for the baby!
Week 17!
hahah we had some fun girl time with two of my dear friends..
Oh, and mom and I went to an ultra sound yesterday and were able to see the baby! It was wonderful to be able to see such an active and big baby, especially since I have been concerened that I am not ’showing’ much yet. More updates to come soon, AND we do know the gender, though I won’t be revealing it yet.
Justin flies in to Seattle tonight and we will be enjoying a week at the beach..
Well it’s already week 17! (in a day or so) I guess that means time for another bump photo.. I will try to take another photo and post it up here soon..
Update from Baby Center:
Your baby’s skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she’s around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
The Baby weighs about as much as a turnip: about 5 oz

Other Updates:
Justin gets to Wa in two days!!
We may be able to find out if its a boy or a girl in a couple days, depending on if the baby is cooperating
One of my sisters had a great idea, which I am super excited for. We are going to have a Gender Revealing Party with our family in Cannon Beach when we all are on our family vacation next week. Everyone will wear an item/ or clothing color either blue or pink, depending what they think the baby is. Then we will bring out a cake that says ‘its a boy’ or ‘its a girl’. We thought it would be a fun way to share with family since we normally are so far from everyone and have to share news over the phone.. So…. when I find out I won’t be sharing here on the blog for awhile, since I want to tell my va friends in person too!
Baby movements: I’m pretty sure I am feeling the baby move at night when I am falling asleep, though I am sure as the weeks go on it becomes more obvious… Also, when I was talking to Justin on skype I swear it was moving every time Justin talked and stopped when he didn’t, though i’m not sure if it has that good of hearing yet! Wouldn’t that be so sweet though if the baby was responding to his voice??
(I can not wait to start calling it a he or a she, it will be much easier and make the whole thing more real
Gender Guess: Well since i find out in a few days I am putting on the record my guess, a boy! I just have had a feeling from the beginning, though I think I was probably telling Justin we would have a boy first from before we even found out we were pregnant… I will be thrilled with either, but I just am curious to see if I am right
Though many people are guessing a girl, I guess we will find out..
Other fun Facts: I found out my sister/friends may be throwing me a shower so I will have one last trip back in September, which originally I thought this would be the last one for almost a year. Justin is going to try to come back as well, though it will be a really short trip..
Looking forward to: Nesting, and organizing! I have been having the itch to put everything away and start chipping away at all those unfinished projects at home.. Also, I want to update the blog with our home updates since I have not been taking enough home photos for my friends here in wa to see what our new home is like..
*Just added a Poll.. Do you think Baby Pavey is a Girl or a Boy!
Up above to vote …
My niece just turned 1 and we celebrated her birthday in part with a photo shoot!
For those of you who don’t know, I have started a Baby’s First Year Package, which includes photos at newborn, 4 months, 8 months and 12 months, with a framed collage at the end, as well as a DVD from each session. Though the sessions can vary depending on what the parents want. Doesn’t the time fly?!

1 year! Coming soon, a fun photo shoot with a giggly 1 year old!
Wow this week has flown by! Have I said that in all the recent posts? I guess time flies when your are having fun right? Well I am late in updating on week 16.. Also, I was blessed to spend some sister time at the lake for the past few days, we took my first bump shot… Hahah we’ll see if i can keep up with this every week, not sure though.. It has been absolutely the perfect week of weather, being at the Lake was so relaxing and I am continually reminded how blessed I am with my family.. I can not wait to see my husband though, he’ll be here in just a few days though!
Last night my little sister and a friend went to a drive in movie, one of my favorite washington summer time activities!..
Week 16 update: *quoted from Baby Center
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he’s about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren’t recognizable yet. He’s even started growing toenails. And there’s a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
My Own Updates:
Cravings: haha do I still need to say, CHEESE! Trader Joes yogurt cups, soooo creamy! Hmmm not a lot of variety, though I am trying to find creative ways to have protein, since I may not quite be taking in enough calories yet.. After calling my dr’s office I was told to have a milk shake a day, I think I may be able to handle that order
Also, the nurse said to have more protein, my goal for the week!
Feelings: I guess I am living up to the ‘feel great’ trimester still, other than the occasional upset stomach at night I am feeling great.. I have thought a couple times I may have felt the baby though I would not say I am 100% confident. I am sure later on I will be more sure..
Excited for: Still really excited to find out if its a girl or a boy! I am excited to move forward with the nursery and start getting things that are not gender neutral .

Being so far away I often do not get to share my family on my blog, so here are more photos to enjoy!
Before the clouds cleared… The Puget Sound is gorgeous!

Papa’s famous smoked Salmon, it is truly a work of art.. We all are still trying to figure out how exactly he prepares his famous salmon

Making festive noises with many fun toys

Dad and my nieces work of art with beach glass
One of my sweet nephews. When I came up to give him a hug and welcome him, he said ‘don’t come any closer or I will ninja chop you!’ haha, he is doing just that in the photo, his famous ninja chop
Watching a few of the day time fireworks.. Another one of my handsome newphews

We celebrate mom’s birthday each year on the 4th, Happy Birthday Mom! You are more than I could ever ask for in a Mom, and also a dear friend. Love you!!!
Now that there are three older boy cousins they got to have their own small fireworks on the beach, look how excited they are! Also, this other photo is one of the many beach bonfires. Many of the residents on the beach build tall bonfires with old christmas trees and stick fireworks in them so they are huge balls of fire!
I participated in the sparklers, fun!
Another Beach Bonfire..
The post could not be complete without a Mt. Rainer Photo, oh how I have missed this gorgeous mountain! My parents have the best view!
This year I had the privilege to spend the 4th with my family back in WA state at my grandparents home. Though I missed Justin, and our fun downtown tradition, it was very festive and fun 4th in Seattle. My grandparents live on the water, making the day quite eventful. From beach bonfires and a the next door neighbors country band the day was quite celebrated..
